Privacy Policy

Effective September 1, 2026

Kniffin Law PLLC (“the firm”) operates kniffin.law. This policy explains what information the site collects and how the firm uses it.

Information you provide

If you use the contact form, the site collects your name, email address, organization, phone number, and the contents of your message. The form sends that information to the firm by email. The site does not store form submissions. Please do not include confidential information until the firm has confirmed that it has no conflict of interest and has agreed to discuss your matter. Sending a message does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the site’s hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. These records are used for security and to keep the site running. The site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

How the firm uses information

The firm uses the information you provide to respond to you, to check for conflicts of interest, and, if you become a client, to provide legal services. The firm does not sell or rent personal information. It shares information only with service providers that operate the site and the firm’s email, when required by law or the rules of professional conduct, or with your consent.

Third-party services

The site is hosted by Namecheap. The firm’s email runs on Microsoft 365. The “Pay an Invoice” link takes you to Melio, a third-party payment service, and information you enter there is governed by Melio’s privacy policy, not this one.

Do Not Track

Because the site does not track visitors across other websites, it does not respond differently to Do Not Track signals.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and the firm does not knowingly collect their information.

Security and retention

The firm takes reasonable measures to protect information it receives, but no transmission over the internet is completely secure. Email is not a secure medium, so please do not use the contact form or email to send confidential or sensitive information until we have discussed how to do so. The firm keeps inquiries as long as needed to respond, check conflicts, and meet its recordkeeping obligations.

Changes

The firm may update this policy. Updates will be posted here with a new effective date.

Your choices

You may ask what information the firm holds about you or ask the firm to delete it, subject to the firm’s legal and professional obligations.
